Steve Cushen
Steve is a graduate of Swansea University, completing an LLB in Law, and currently serves as Member of the National Youth Committee for Wales.
Since joining the Co-operative Party in 2008, Steve has played an active role in both the Merthyr Tydfil & Rhymney Branch as well as the Swansea, Neath & Port Talbot Branch, holding various positions.
During his time in University, Steve served as an Executive Officer for two terms on the Union’s Executive Committee as well as holding the position of Membership and Campaigns Officer on Swansea Labour Students Executive Committee. Additionally, Steve is a founding member and Chair of Merthyr Tydfil & Rhymney Young Labour and also a former Committee Member on the Labour Students Wales Executive.
After leaving University, Steve took over as Political Researcher to Val Lloyd AM, the former Labour Assembly Member for Swansea East. Steve now works for Mike Hedges AM, the current Labour Assembly Member for Swansea East.
