Alex Baker
My name is Alex Baker and I am passionate about all things co-operative and cake related. I have worked within the co-operative movement for the past five years and really believe that co-operative solutions provide answers to many of the problems that we have in society.
I’m a Dorset girl born and bred and Dorset will always be home. I have lived in Lambeth for the past couple of years and I now consider Stockwell to be my second home. I am really active within my local Labour Party in Vauxhall and most weekends I can be found out campaigning on the #labourdoorstep somewhere.
I am really close to all my family and especially my brother who lives in Stockwell as well and is an A&E nurse at Kings College Hospital.
I’m secretary of Lambeth Co-operative Party, which is getting really active focussing is on campaigning. We’ve been running a campaign against Lambeth loan sharks which has been going really well recently.
