SERA has today launched a new pamphlet, Rio+20: Our second chance for a sustainable future?, as our contribution to the debate at the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development taking place in Brazil.

Contributors to the pamphlet include Shadow Secretary of State for DEFRA, Mary Creagh MP, Shadow Energy Secretary, Caroline Flint MP, and Shadow International Development Secretary, Ivan Lewis MP. MEPs Linda McAvan and Richard Howitt have also contributed, as well as Sarah Best from Oxfam and Richard Page from Greenpeace.

Mary Creagh MP said of the Conference:

The Government has said that Rio+20 has to be a workshop not a talking shop. To have credibility, it isn’t enough to talk the talk on the world stage; they have to walk the walk, back home.
